Rest and Digest ~ Simple Seconds to a More Productive You!

We’ve heard the term before, and it really does make a huge difference in your wellness! So just to focus on the “rest” part today, many will say they don’t have time to “rest”, and that’s typically because they’re thinking of doing something that’s too big of a step, so they just give up all together.
What if you could do super simple things throughout your day that take no longer than seconds, but have a HUGE impact on your “happy hormones”?
Rest; think “Breathe”, “Enough” and “Kindness”
Breathe~ Throughout your day, whenever you think of it, take 3 deep breaths. Breath in through your nose allowing your belly to expand while feeling your feet on the ground. Then exhale through your mouth…repeat 2 more times. You can do this at a stop light, in the check out line, during a meeting, etc. It will help release feel good endorphins and serotonin, and it will help to reset your body each time you do it. Over time, you’ll be craving it, and it’s a great thing to crave!
Enough~Many of us go through each day with the mantra “not good enough”, so switch it, just try. Choose the mantra “I am Enough” the moment that you wake, and then again throughout the day. As you do it, smile. If you can, do it in front of a mirror and say it out loud. Replace the false mantra with what is truth. YOU ARE ENOUGH!
Kindness~Every day, we have hundreds of choices, and some of those choices involve either being kind or not. Choose kindness, each and every time. By choosing kindness, you will start to become a part of something greater, and that’s the connection that you have with your fellow beings (2 legged, 4 legged, or more!). Each time we choose kindness, we make a difference in someone’s life. And it’s so simple. Choose kindness, it’s contagious.
